After years of Hotel California is still a classic. The words and chords is much sought after item by young and old guitar player. Here are the words to Hotel California with the names of chords entered into the row in brackets to avoid complications we often get to try to publish the lyrics and words together in the article. So the actual chord name appears before the word where the chord changes occur. If you are familiar with how the song sounds, it will not be a problem.
Once you've learned the chords and sing and play them at the same time, I advise you to practice until the track is second nature because you really have to try to improvise some or at least write your own solo to go with this song.

There are many versions of Hotel California, including parody, and I suggest you listen to them all. To move and make the Hotel California or another song by yourself, you need to get over it. Get out of your system. Listening to the various versions will help with this as will intense practice. Three very different examples are by The Gipsy Kings, Cat Empire and the acoustic version by Hank Marvin's guitar solo with some very good licking.
